Effective date: 15 September 2026
Aubrey International offers a like-for-like Price Match on qualifying PeoplePerHour quotations.
If a competing quotation meets the eligibility requirements set out in this policy, we will match the comparable quoted price.
1. Key eligibility requirements
To qualify for a Price Match, the competing quotation must:
- be a genuine, current quotation received through PeoplePerHour;
- come from an active PeoplePerHour freelancer or agency;
- relate to the same or substantially equivalent work;
- include materially equivalent scope, deliverables and turnaround;
- be capable of reasonable verification; and
- be submitted to us before the relevant work begins.
The full requirements are explained below.
2. Who can request a Price Match?
The Price Match is available to prospective clients who have received a genuine lower quotation through PeoplePerHour for work that is the same as, or substantially equivalent to, the work we have quoted for.
The competing quotation must still be valid and genuinely available to the prospective client when the Price Match request is made.
The request must be made before the relevant work has commenced.
3. What does “like for like” mean?
A competing quotation must be genuinely comparable to ours.
We will compare objective features of the services being offered, including where relevant:
- the scope and volume of work;
- the instructions supplied to each seller;
- the deliverables included;
- the level of professional input or review included;
- research, preparation or analysis required;
- the number and extent of revisions or amendments;
- meetings, calls or correspondence included;
- turnaround time and deadlines;
- follow-up or ongoing support;
- required qualifications, specialist input or supervision; and
- any other material feature affecting the work to be undertaken.
A similar project title, headline description or general category does not by itself make two quotations like for like.
We will not refuse an otherwise qualifying Price Match simply because we consider our service to be of higher quality. Any difference relied upon must relate to a material and identifiable difference in the services being provided.
4. How do I request a Price Match?
Send us the competing quotation through the PeoplePerHour WorkStream before accepting our proposal or instructing us to begin the relevant work.
We may request sufficient information to verify that the quotation is genuine and to assess whether it is genuinely comparable. This may include:
- the quotation or proposal;
- screenshots of the relevant PeoplePerHour WorkStream;
- the project or Offer description;
- the seller’s relevant proposal;
- relevant correspondence concerning scope or turnaround; or
- other information reasonably necessary to establish the terms being offered.
Personal, commercially sensitive or confidential information that is not relevant to the comparison may be redacted.
We will not require information that is unnecessary for determining whether the quotation qualifies.
5. What price will we match?
Where a competing quotation qualifies under this policy, we will match the comparable quoted price for the professional services being provided.
The comparison will be made on the same basis wherever reasonably possible.
For the purposes of this policy:
- any VAT or other tax that a seller is required to include within their quoted service price will be taken into account on a comparable basis;
- charges imposed separately by PeoplePerHour on the buyer are not treated as part of the freelancer’s or agency’s quoted professional fee;
- currency differences will be assessed using the applicable amount shown through PeoplePerHour or another reasonable contemporaneous conversion basis where necessary; and
- optional extras or additional services will only be included where they form part of both quotations.
The purpose of the comparison is to identify the price being charged for genuinely equivalent professional work.
6. What is not eligible?
A Price Match will not apply where the competing quotation:
- relates to materially different work;
- provides a reduced or narrower scope;
- excludes material deliverables included in our quotation;
- has a materially different turnaround or deadline;
- excludes revisions, support, meetings, research or other material work included in our quotation;
- is no longer valid or genuinely available;
- cannot reasonably be verified;
- contains an obvious pricing or typographical error;
- is based on materially different or incomplete instructions;
- consists of a voucher, account credit, platform-specific rebate or similar benefit rather than the seller’s actual quoted price;
- forms part of a bundle where the comparable price cannot reasonably be identified;
- comes from a seller who is not genuinely offering the quoted service through PeoplePerHour; or
- cannot otherwise reasonably be regarded as a genuine like-for-like quotation.
A promotional or introductory price is not automatically excluded merely because it is promotional. It may qualify where it is a genuine price currently available to the prospective client for the same work and on materially equivalent terms.
7. Professional, legal and regulatory requirements
Some assignments may require particular professional, legal, regulatory, supervisory or compliance arrangements.
Where those requirements form a material part of the service we have quoted for, the competing quotation must provide an equivalent service to qualify as like for like.
Nothing in this policy requires us to undertake work:
- unlawfully;
- contrary to an applicable professional obligation;
- without supervision or other arrangements that are required for the work concerned; or
- in a manner inconsistent with regulatory or compliance requirements applying to the assignment.
Where a quotation does not qualify because of one of these differences, we will identify the material distinction where reasonably practicable.
8. Changes to the work after a Price Match
A successful Price Match applies only to the agreed matched scope.
If the client’s instructions subsequently change, or additional work is required, that additional work may be quoted and charged separately. This includes changes to:
- scope;
- volume;
- deadlines;
- deliverables;
- required meetings or correspondence;
- revisions;
- research requirements; or
- any other material aspect of the assignment.
The Price Match does not require us to undertake additional or expanded work at the original matched price.
9. When must a Price Match be requested?
The Price Match must be requested and agreed before the relevant work begins.
The policy does not provide an automatic entitlement to retrospective refunds, credits or price reductions for work that has already been accepted, commenced or completed.
10. How requests are assessed
Price Match requests will be assessed against the criteria set out in this policy.
Where the requirements are met, we will match the comparable quoted price.
Where we consider that a competing quotation does not qualify, we will identify the material reason for that conclusion where reasonably practicable.
Where the difference is primarily one of scope, we may offer an alternative quotation based on a reduced or adjusted scope so that the services can be compared on an equivalent basis.
11. PeoplePerHour requirements
This policy applies to eligible work sourced through PeoplePerHour.
All work remains subject to applicable PeoplePerHour terms, payment arrangements and platform requirements.
This policy does not alter, replace or override any rights or obligations arising under PeoplePerHour’s terms.
Any information required to understand the material terms of the Price Match will also be made available through PeoplePerHour where necessary.
12. Changes to this policy
We may amend or withdraw this policy from time to time.
Any Price Match request will be assessed under the version of the policy in force when the request is made.
A change to the policy will not retrospectively alter a Price Match that has already been expressly agreed.
